March Product Update

🧪 BETA TESTING

Tenant Portal (open beta)

Your tenants can now self-serve through a new web-based portal, with no app download required. The Tenant Portal lets tenants log maintenance requests, view and pay invoices, access documents, and manage compliance, all from any browser.

You can opt in from your account settings. The portal is included in all plans.

Consolidated Tenant Invoicing (open beta)

You can now defer direct on-charges, utility meter charges, and manual charges to your tenant's next rent invoice instead of generating separate invoices. Charges accumulate as "pending charges" on the tenancy and roll onto the rent invoice automatically when it generates.

This means fewer invoices for your tenants and less administration for your team.

💳 RE-LEASED PAY

NZ Direct Debit is live

If you're a Re-Leased Pay customer in New Zealand, your tenants can now pay invoices via Direct Debit from any NZ bank account. Tenants can also set up recurring Direct Debit mandates so rent is collected automatically.

Direct Debit is enabled by default for NZ Pay accounts, so there's nothing you need to configure. Fees are 1% + $0.40 NZD per transaction, capped at $4.00 NZD. Clearing time is 2 days.

Copy KYC details across companies

If you manage multiple companies in Re-Leased Pay, you can now copy verified Know-Your-Customer (KYC) details from one connected account to another during bank account setup. This saves you from re-entering the same business and ownership information for each company. Bank account details and other sensitive data are excluded from the copy.

✨ CREDIA AI

Smarter expense invoice processing

Two improvements to how Credia handles expense invoices:

  • Multiple payment reference candidates: Credia now extracts all reference numbers from an invoice and surfaces them in a labelled dropdown on the Payment reference field (Invoice No, Payment Reference, BPAY CRN, etc.). Select the right value in one click instead of manually retyping.
  • Auto-detection of tax inclusive/exclusive: Credia now analyses invoice content to determine whether amounts are tax inclusive or exclusive, and sets the line amount type accordingly. Previously this defaulted to tax exclusive, requiring manual correction. If Credia can't determine the type with confidence, it falls back to your default setting.

Custom Rules now apply to single line invoices

Credia custom rules that define line item descriptions now apply to single line invoices automatically, not just multi-line. If your invoice matches a custom rule, the description is applied and a banner confirms it. You can still override manually.

🧾 ACCOUNTING

Owner Fees enhancements (non-trust accounting customers)

The Owner Fees page now includes a Fee Name multi-select filter and a new slide-out filters panel with Company, Status, and Owner Tag filters. Fee rules also now have an Invoice State setting that lets you control whether invoices are created as "Awaiting Approval" or "Approved".

Invoice Approval Workflows: Fallback approvers

If you use Property Manager or Facilities Manager approval steps in your invoice approval workflows, you can now set a fallback approver for invoices that don't have a property assigned. Previously, these invoices would skip the approval step entirely. Now they're routed to your chosen fallback approver for review.

📋 TENANCY / LEASE MANAGEMENT

New "Is Residential" indicator on Tenancies

A new field on your tenancies now indicates whether each tenancy is residential. For existing tenancies on Residential properties, this has been set automatically. For tenancies on Mixed, Agricultural, or Commercial properties, you'll be prompted to confirm when editing.

This is part of our preparation for the UK Renters' Rights Act (RRA), which comes into effect on 1 May 2026. From 1 April, a bulk migration tool will be available for UK customers to convert fixed-term residential tenancies to rolling terms. We'll share more details as the tools become available.

🏢 PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

Utility Meters Hub

You now have a single view of all utility meters across every company and property in your portfolio. The Utility Meters Hub lets you view reading history, add new readings, generate invoices, and archive meters, all without navigating property by property. You can also import bulk readings and one-off charges via spreadsheet.

Consolidated Budget Certificates and Statements

If you have tenants occupying multiple areas within a budget, they now receive a single consolidated certificate and statement instead of separate documents per area. Both the certificate and statement download modals include a Combined Areas / Separated Areas option, with Combined Areas as the default.
